Statistics on Florida Car Accidents for 2008

It’s not uncommon to drive down the road and see a fender bender. It seems that car accidents are a frequent occurrence on the Florida roads. Everywhere you travel in the state, wrecks can be seen all over the freeways and highways.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles provided the Traffic Crash Statistics Report 2008, which showed that there were 243,342 traffic accidents in the state of Florida in 2008. This number is equivalent to 665 traffic accidents each day. Those reported accidents involved 346,610 drivers. These numbers are unsettling.
