Cell Phones Can Be a Distraction for Florida Drivers

Many safety advocates would argue that there is a very real danger facing drivers, which is causing car accidents in Florida. This hazard comes in the form of a cell phone.

Currently, the State of Florida does not have a ban on handheld cell phones. In fact, while numerous states at least ban cell phone usage among young drivers or school bus drivers, Florida does not.

A drive can get so involved in a conversation that he or she fails to recognize and respond to perilous situations. Pedestrians, bicyclists and other motorists can all be at risk of serious injury in a Florida car accident if a driver is distracted by his or her cell phone.
